MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN the first of his long-players for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. The group released Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album in the following year. Later in 2021, he performed in a duet with TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was a member of a musical family, his elder brother and mom are both musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music was a necessity. As a child, playing the guitar ukulele and piano. Although his first career choice was to be an animal veterinarian, his brother Julian convinced him to try taking singing lessons from an instructor in Cuban. This transformed his life forever.
